Catharsis I :  Maman is an audiovisual letter that a young woman is addressing to her mother in an attempt to free herself from their confining and oppressive relationship. All of what we see takes place in her private spaces: in her apartment and in her mind. She awakes curled up on herself; she takes a shower and then prepares for the day. Place of residence, daily life and reality confound themselves in symbolic images within her mental landscape.  The technique of video, the use of writing on the image, the symbolic meanings made from different objects, express the inner workings of the young woman - her feelings, her imagination, etc. It is this technique, the most intimate expression of her subjectivity towards her mother, which gives her a certain power of transformation, the freedom to break away from the chains of their relationship.
